Michelin has released details of three more contenders which will be displayed at the Michelin Challenge Design exhibit at the 2009 NAIAS next week. The stand will feature 11 scale models and 24 two-dimensional drawings that were selected by a jury of top automotive designers. Among these are Raquel Aparicio’s Soft Vehicle, Fernando Gomez’s Packard concept and Niels Grubak Iversen and David Goncalves’ Phoenix concept.

Audi A5: this time it's official
Stung by the leak of A5 photos, Audi has brought forward the first official pictures of its new A5 mid-sized coupe. It's the car designed to bridge the gap between the TT sports coupe and the R8 supercar - Audi's calling it a modern grand tourer. CAR Online brought you theleaked photos of the sporty S5 earlier this week; today we can publish all the official details of the regular A5, which goes on sale in June.
VW is approaching the critical phase of its plan to launch a range of aggressively priced base products. How aggressive? Well, we´re looking at €7000 for a four-door family saloon, €7500 for a boxy estate and about €8000 for a basic MPV.
